Act like artist

It’s easy to act like an artist when someone else is paying the rent.

When your meals are covered, when failure is just an aesthetic phase and not a financial disaster,

Art becomes a playground, not a battlefield.

You can afford to ‘wait for inspiration’

because your survival doesn’t depend on a paycheck.

The so-called “true” artists, the purists… they often come from a place where survival is already solved.

For them, art is a choice.

But for the rest of us, art is a rebellion. A small act of theft.

We steal time from work, energy from exhaustion,

dreams from a mind trained to pay bills before it can imagine.

Real artists are not the ones who live for art, but the ones who keep creating despite life.

After ten hours of soul-numbing labor,

after chores, calls, responsibilities, debts, they still carve out a moment to write, paint, sing, or scream into a mic.

Not for applause. Not for fame.

But to remind themselves : I exist. I feel. I am still alive.

Because that’s what true art is,

not a lifestyle, but a form of survival that refuses to be silent.

It’s blood that leaks out when the soul can’t hold it anymore,

and we call it a poem, or a song, or a story.

So the next time someone says,

“A real artist doesn’t think about money,”

just smile and say….

“A real artist thinks about money every damn day

and still chooses to create. That’s not just art….that’s revival.”
